Ten bezpochyby nejvýjimečnější dům v Los Angeles patří Nicku Vanderparkovi (Jack Black, Škola rocku) nejprachatějšímu vynálezci zázračného odstraňovače psího trusu pod názvem Vapoorize. Obrovské sídlo s komplexem bowlingových drah, dobytčích ohrad, vinic a kolotočů přivádí jeho souseda Tima Dingmana (Ben Stiller, Riskni to s Polly) k šílenství. Hlavně proto, že se Tim mohl také brodit v penězích, kdyby měl také tu šanci investovat. A tak poté, co ztratí práci a jeho manželka ho nechá v bryndě, obrátí se Tim na jedinou osobu, která mu může pomoci - J-Mana (Christopher Walken, Stepfordské paničky), podivného hipíka, který má v každé situaci potrhlé nápady. Fantastická černá komedie o tom, jak dobrého člověka zkazí úspěch jeho souseda.
