Veselé Vánoce, pane Lawrenci 1983 Neomezený přístup zdarma

Děj se odehrává v Japonském zajateckém táboře na ostrově Jáva v roce 1942. V lágru je jediný zajatec, který mluví Japonsky a to plukovník Lawrence. Ten je donucen sadistickým seržantem Harou zúčastnit se mučení a vynuceného harakiri jednoho z dozorců. Po intervenci u velitele tábora je poprava odložena. Ostatní japonští důstojníci se začínají na zajatcích mstít, protože se obávají ovlivňování velitele tábora plukovníkem Lawrencem. Napětí se ještě zvýší, když se v táboře objeví nový, záhadný zajatec Celliers, který je Angličan a odmítá se podřídit japonskému drilu. Brutalita dozorců se neustále stupňuje, protože ve válce u lidí vystupují do popředí zejména skryté zvířecí pudy a jejich civilizovanost mizí. Proč ale “Veselé Vánoce pane Lawrenci”?
