The Russian Empire. The turn of the XIX and XX centuries. Thirteen-year-old nobleman and orphan Vanya Ogarev flees from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod, fleeing from assassins sent by his own uncle, who decided to take over the boy's inheritance. Ahead of them lies a dangerous journey that will change them both forever.
