Príbeh manželky Martina Luthera Kathariny von Bora. Katharina von Bora vstúpila do dejín ako mníška, ktorá utiekla od života v kláštore, úspešná obchodníčka, matka šiestich detí, no najmä manželka reformátora Martina Luthera. Keď sa počas svojho života v kláštore oboznámila s Lutherovymi spismi, otvorili sa jej úplne nové obzory. Spolu s niekoľkými ďalšími mníškami porušili svoje sľuby a vydali sa do sveta za jeho múrmi. Mladá žena celkom bez prostriedkov a odmietaná svojou rodinou našla útočisko u maliara Lucasa Cranacha. Tam sa osobne stretla s mužom, ktorý zmenil jej život...
