Vánoce. Všichni milují tyto nádherné svátky… tedy až na Kevina. Ten musí trávit 25. prosinec u svého syna Bena, bývalé manželky Jill a hlavně jejích příšerných rodičů! Jejich nesympatie jsou vzájemné a tak není divu, proč je tak moc zbožňuje. Celý tento dne skončí jako jedna velká katastrofa. Vánoční dárek pro Bena, koupený na poslední chvíli, Jillin nový dokonalý přítel Todd, to vše pro něj představuje hotový horor. Jedinou světlou stránkou na tom všem je samotný Ben, pro kterého je největším dárkem jeho otec, a tak nahlas při slavnostní večeři vysloví přání, aby Vánoce byly každý den. A tak se i stane. Díky němu Kevin uvízne v časové smyčce a tento proklatý den se opakuje stále dokola a dokola…
