Ve snímku Urážka ztvárnil Sean Connery postavu zkušeného detektiva Johnsona, britského policejního inspektora, kterého obvykle hned tak něco nerozhází. Dvacet let práce na vraždách, znásilněních a dalších násilných činech se na něm však postupně podepsalo natolik, že při jednom rutinním výslechu vybuchne a naprosto ztratí kontrolu. Hluboce jím totiž otřese chování vyslýchaného pedofila, kterého následně zabije a je proto suspendován. Tento incident vede k tomu, že se detektiv nervově zhroutí. Navíc samotný fakt, že ubil devianta k smrti, jej vede ke snaze očistit sebe sama od vlastních, důkladně skrytých pedofilních tendencí. Film byl natočen podle divadelní hry Johna Hopkinse This Story of Yours, přičemž scénář k němu napsal sám autor hry a režíroval jej zkušený Sidney Lumet
