Plukovník oddílu zvláštního nasazení „Piraňa“ Kirill Mazur a jeho kolegyně Olga odjíždějí doprostřed ruské tajgy s jediným úkolem: zlikvidovat sklad biologických zbraní, umístěný na dně jezera. Při akci jsou oba zajati skupinou gangsterů, kteří s těmito zbraněmi obchodují, a navíc v tajze ovládají velké území, kde platí pouze jejich zákony. Excentrický vůdce gangu Prochor nechá oba hrdiny společně s dalšími zajatci vysadit v divočině a po několika hodinách náskoku na ně se svými společníky zahájí lov. Mazurovi se později podaří pomocí ukořistěné vysílačky zavolat pomoc a s kolegyní se dostanou až do nejbližšího města. Prochor se však jen tak nevzdá...
